Abstract

This study aimed to explore the role of school rincipals in Al-Mafraq District Directorate of Education in impowering vocational education eeachers from the teachers’ point of view. The study utilized the descriptive survey method., where the sample consisted of (75) male and female vocational education teachers from governmental schools in Al-Mafraq District Directorate of Education for the academic year 2022/2023. To achieve the objectives of the study, a specially designed questionnaire was used to assess the role of the  principals in Al-Mafraq District Directorate in empowering the vocational education  teachers. The findings indicated that the role of school principals in this context is of intermediate significance across all fields. Moreover, the study revealed no statistically significant differences  between the averages of  the participants' responses at the signoficance level (α=0.05)  concerning the principals' role in empowering vocational education teachers based on variables of the study  ( sex, academic qualifications, and years of experience). In light of these findings, it is recommended that educators and educational administrators leverage these insights to more effectively empower vocational education teachers in real-world settings.
