The Effectiveness of Remote Work in the UAE During the New Covid-19 (Corona)

This study aimed to identify the trends of employees in the public and private sectors in working remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic and to show the positives and negatives of this experience, and to determine the readiness of employees and government and private institutions to implement this system. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach through a survey method and took the opinions of employees working in the public and private sectors about their experience in working remotely during this pandemic. The researcher designed a questionnaire to collect data for this study consisting of six axes including 50 questions. The study sample amounted to (749) participants of different nationalities, males and females from employees in the public and private sectors in the country. The study concluded with a number of results, the most important of which is that the UAE has a strong infrastructure in the field of communications and technology that helped it continue working remotely efficiently during this pandemic and that employees in the public and private sectors are able to communicate with technology and use artificial intelligence technologies. Through these results, the researcher recommends the importance of benefiting from the success of this experience and strengthening the infrastructure in the technical field to confront future crises and organize conferences and training courses to raise the efficiency and skills of employees working in the public and private sectors to work remotely in exceptional circumstances.
