Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of school principals in the Directorate of Education for the Koura District in activating aspects of school life. To achieve the study’s objectives, the descriptive survey methodology was employed. The study population consisted of all male and female teachers in both basic and secondary schools within the Koura Directorate of Education. The study sample included 293 teachers (males and females), and the research instrument consisted of 28 items distributed across four domains. The validity and reliability of the instrument were verified. The findings indicated that the level of activation of school life aspects by school principals in the Koura Directorate was high. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences attributable to the effect of sex, except for the field of needs and aspirations, where the differences were in favour of males. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences attributable to the effect of the variables of academic qualification and years of experience. In light of these results, the researcher recommended the necessity of enhancing and motivating school principals to maintain the high level of their role in  activating the aspects of school life.
