هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على انتشار الأعراض النفس جسمية والاكتئاب وعلاقتها بالرفاهية النفسية لدى الزوجات الحوامل لأول مرة في محافظة الكرك. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم اختيار عينة متيسرة من الزوجات الحوامل تكونت من (185) زوجة حامل ممن يراجعن عيادات النسائية والتوليد في مستشفى الكرك الحكومي على مدار (6) شهور وللمرة الأولى، تم تقسيم العينة من حيث المستوى التعليمي إلى فئتين من النساء الحوامل المراجعات لمستشفى الكرك الحكومي (بكالوريوس ودراسات عليا). وتم تكييف مقياس للأعراض النفس جسمية، ومقياس للاكتئاب، ومقياس للرفاهية النفسية. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن مستوى انتشار الأعراض النفس جسمية والاكتئاب لدى الزوجات الحوامل جاء منخفضا، وأن مستوى الرفاهية النفسية لدى النساء الحوامل جاء متوسطا، وأخيراً تبين وجود علاقة سالبة بين الأعراض النفس جسمية والاكتئاب مع الرفاهية النفسية، وتبين وجود فروق في انتشار الأعراض النفس جسمية لدى الزوجات الحوامل باختلاف المستوى التعليمي للزوجة لصالح المستوى التعليمي الأدنى. وبناء على نتائج الدراسة تم الخروج ببعض التوصيات منها العمل على الاستمرار في تخفيض الأعراض النفس جسمية والاكتئاب لدى الزوجات الحامل بما ينعكس عليها وعلى جنينها وقدرتها على تربية ابنها لاحقا بطريقة مناسبة.
