Teachers' Level of Digital Culture Possession in the Educational Qualification Diploma Program at the University of Nizwa: Their Perspective

This study aimed to investigate the level of digital culture possession among trainee teachers in the Educational Qualification Diploma program at the University of Nizwa for the academic year 2023/2024. The study utilized the descriptive approach through a validated and reliable questionnaire consisting of (27) items to measure the digital culture. The study sample comprised (70) trainees. The results of the study revealed that the level of digital culture possession among trainee teachers in the Educational Qualification Diploma program at the University of Nizwa, from their perspective, was at a moderate level with an arithmetic mean of (3.108) and a standard deviation of (.7033).
The results showed statistically significant differences at the significance level (α=0.05) among trainee teachers in the Educational Qualification Diploma program at the University of Nizwa in their possession of digital culture from their perspective attributed to specialization. Using post hoc comparisons Scheffe, statistically significant differences were found at the significance level (α=0.05) in favor of the Fine Arts subject with a significance level of (.031), which is lower than (α=0.05) when comparing Social Studies and Arabic Language subjects with other specializations. Conversely, differences were in favor of Science and Mathematics subjects with a significance level of (.004) when comparing the Fine Arts subject with other subjects, with a significance level lower than (α=0.05). The study concluded with a set of recommendations.
