Leadership Competencies among Graduates of Graduate Programs in Educational Administration at Public and Private Jordanian Universities in Light of the Application of Comprehensive Quality Management Standards

Abstract

This study  aimed to reveal the leadership competencies among graduates of graduate programs in educational administration in public and private Jordanian universities in light of the application of comprehensive quality management standards. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a tool to detect leadership competencies among graduates of graduate programs in educational administration. The tool  consisted of  three fields and distributed on (27) items, the study sample was selected from (100) male and female students, including (55) female students, and (45) male students in public and private universities, and they were selected by the random method available during the second semester (2023/2024 AD)., out from the population of the study  counting (750) gradutes. The results showed that the level of leadership competencies among graduates of postgraduate programs in educational administration in public and private Jordanian universities in light of the application of comprehensive quality management standards was at a high level. The results also showed the level of leadership competencies among graduates of postgraduate programs in educational administration in public and private Jordanian universities had statistically significant differences (α≤0.05) due to the effect of gender in favor of females, and that there were no statistically significant differences (α≤0.05) due to the effect of university  or the year of graduation. In light of these results, the researcher recommended working to include programs for preparing educational leaders at the higher diploma, Master’s, or Doctoral level, practicing the basic competencies and skills necessary to achieve integrated growth in light of comprehensive quality standards, and directing the results of the study to those concerned in the Ministry of Education to benefit from them in the development of graduates of educational administration, at the level of education directorates, preparing and implementing appropriate training courses to achieve the goals of developing these competencies.
