The study aimed to examine the rulings of marital compatibility in Islamic jurisprudence and the Jordanian Personal Status Law (2019), then to extract the educational values from the legislation of marital compatibility and its rulings, such as the values of fairness, responsibility, taking things seriously, preventing mischiefs which is better than bringing benefits, love, affection, tranquility, and satisfaction with fate and destiny. Then, the study demonstrates the impact of applying these values in achieving the mental health of the Muslim family from the faith, emotional-social, mental, and economic aspects. The study followed both inductive and deductive approaches. The study arrived at several key findings, the most significant of which is that the reason for stipulating compatibility, which is considered a necessary condition in marriage contract, is that it is a part of human nature, and achieves the purposes of marriage for which it was prescribed, and extends the benefit to both spouses and their families due to the educational values it encompasses, which benefit everyone with stability, security, and psychological health. Finally, the study recommended carrying out action research that examines the reality of families in light of marital compatibility and its role in achieving family security, to complement what has been studied from the theoretical side of previous studies.
