The Status Que of Leadership Succession Planning at Al al-Bayt University from Faculty Members’ Points of View

The study aimed to identify the status que of leadership succession planning at Al al-Bayt University from faculty members’ points of view and the impact of the variables of gender, years of experience, academic rank, and type of faculty. The sample of the study consisted of (165) faculty members who were chosen by simple random sampling technique during the first semester of the academic year 2024/2025. The descriptive survey approach was employed, and a questionnaire consisting of (30) items distributed into four domains (Planning, Implementation, Professional Development, and Evaluation) was developed and administered to the participants.
The study results indicated that the status que of leadership succession planning at Al al-Bayt University was low. Furthermore, the study results revealed statistically significant differences in the mean scores of sample responses due to the variables (gender, years of experience, academic rank, and faculty).
In light of the study findings, the researcher provided a set of recommendations, including working to create and provide a supportive environment for leadership and administrative excellence and creativity at the university.
