The Role of the State in Confronting Corruption

Abstract

Corruption is considered the most dangerous enemy to human societies. It is one of the factors that cause its cultural retardation and weakness, and then to its destruction and finally extinction. Hence, the most important role of a government is represented in tackling corruption, and to succeed in that in order to maintain the nation's interests, and to keep the purpose of our creator in this universe.

      The state, being described within the comprehensive collective framework and holding its entire forces and institutions, is responsible for combining the efforts made into one  cohesive results capable to establish a societal framework away from corruption with all its types. This research explains the concept of corruption, its forms and aspects, and demonstrates the role of the state in confronting it effectively through a thorough strategy based on effective prevention and inspection, then on applied and practical treatment. The inductive and deductive approaches were used out from the forensic sciences as well as from relevant texts. The study concluded that the state should take the primary responsibility in encountering corruption through its legislative, executive and judicial institutions. The study recommends researchers to search for the most effective means and tools to encounter corruption in its all forms in the modern era.
