This study aims to propose an educational vision for Jordanian universities to raise awareness among their students about the culture of the green economy and its role in achieving the principles of sustainable development. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used, and a set of foundations for the future vision were established, which included the philosophy, a set of goals and principles, means of implementation, challenges, and mechanisms for overcoming challenges.
The future vision of Jordanian universities was represented by paying attention to green spaces, whether in their buildings or in buildings, based on the university's orientations towards promoting the culture of the green economy among its educational outputs of students, activities and research, linking sustainable development with the preservation of natural resources, and continuing to maintain an environment free of pollutants to benefit from natural resources as much as possible, and for universities to adopt a vision that the optimal solution to energy and environmental issues is sustainability and the preservation of natural resources, and includes emphasizing commitment to environmental standards, following a policy of preserving natural resources and deepening this idea among students. In light of the study results, the study recommended that universities adopt the future vision to develop the culture of the green economy and its role in achieving sustainable development among students.
