The Attitudes of University of Jordan Students towards the Standards of Shanghai Classification

The study aimed to identify the attitudes of University of Jordan students towards the standards of the Shanghai classification, as it is one of the important international classifications in which all international universities seek to achieve advanced ranks. The researchers adopted the descriptive approach. A simpe random sample of (391) male and female students at the University of Jordan was selected from the undergraduate and high studies levels during the academic year (2023/2024). A questionnaire was constructed consisting of (35) items divided into four areas including: the quality of the university(staff members who got Noble Prize or Fields Medals, research outcomes, the qulaity of education).The results indicated positive trends prevailing among students towards the Shanghai Standards, and there were no statistically significant differences attributed to the gender or college variable, and the presence of statistically significant differences attributed to the academic stage variable in the two areas of research outcomes and university quality in favor of high studies level.
