Abstract
This study addresses an essential topic in contemporary political history within the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan geographical framework and a time-frame extending between 1971 and 1973. The selection of this period is based on the fact that 1971 marked the end of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s (PLO) threating the Jordanian national arena, thus relocating its operations to Lebanon by an Arab decision, specifically to Beirut in January 1971. The study expands until 1973, as this year precedes the Arab Summit held in Rabat, Morocco, in 1974, during which the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan officially recognized the PLO as the legitimate representative of the Palestinians. The study employed the historical approach based on investigation, aiming to chronologically outline the sequence of events, presenting them clearly to decision-makers. This approach seeks to provide valuable insights that can help address security and political issues that may arise in the course of the State's development.
