To achieve the objectives of this study, the descriptive analytical approach was used through a questionnaire collected from a random sample of (113) male and female computer teachers in primary and secondary levels from Mafraq schools for the academic year 2023/2024. The results showed that the degree of computer teachers’ awareness of cybersecurity was a moderate degree; the results also showed that there were statistically significant differences between the means of the study sample’s responses of the degree of computer teachers’ awareness of cybersecurity due to the variable of the academic qualification in favor of the postgraduate studies. However, no statistically significant differences due to the variable of gender or experience. The study recommended raising cybersecurity awareness among computer teachers by organizing training workshops.</p> Mamon Alzboun Munes Hamadneh Copyright (c) 2025 Educational and Psychological Sciences Series 2025-04-17 2025-04-17 4 1 183 213 10.59759/educational.v4i1.564 Sensory Processing Disorder and its Relationship to Social Maturity and Stereotypical Behaviors in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders https://journals.aabu.edu.jo/index.php/Edu/article/view/860 <p>The study aimed to identify sensory processing disorder and its relationship to social maturity and stereotypical behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder. A random sample of (65) children with autism spectrum disorder in the age group (7-13 years) affiliated with special education centers in Amman was selected. The results showed that the prevalence of sensory processing disorder in children with autism spectrum disorder was severe in (touch sensitivity, taste and smell sensitivity, movement sensitivity, proprioceptive response, auditory filtering, low energy, and visual-auditory sensitivity). It was also found that the degree of social maturity in the study sample was at a low level with mean of (2.26), and there were no differences in the areas of social maturity in children with autism spectrum disorder attributed to the severity of autism (mild, moderate, severe). The results also showed differences in social maturity as a whole and in the areas of (ability to make decisions, ability to help others) attributed to the severity of autism (mild, moderate, severe) in favor of mild autism. The results showed that the level of stereotypical behaviors as a whole in the study sample was high with mean of (3.99), and there were differences in the areas of stereotypical behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder attributed to the severity of autism (mild, moderate, severe) and in the tool as a whole, and the differences were in favor of the severity of autism (severe). It also showed a statistically significant effect of sensory processing disorders on social maturity, and a statistically significant effect of sensory processing disorders on stereotypical behaviors. The study employed a descriptive survey methodology and was conducted on a sample of (361) male and female students from Jordanian universities, selected through stratified random sampling. A questionnaire consisting of (26) items was used <br />as the data collection tool, and its validity and reliability <br />were verified.</p> <p> The findings indicated that Jordanian university students' awareness of cybersecurity culture, its concepts, and domains from their perspective was moderate. Reviews of plastic surgery centers in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan https://journals.aabu.edu.jo/index.php/Edu/article/view/729 <p>The study aimed to reveal the relationship between body dysmorphic disorder and depression among women visiting plastic surgery centers. The study sample consisted of (110) women visiting plastic surgery centers. To achieve the study objectives, the study tools were adopted, namely the Beck Depression Inventory consisting of (21) questions and the Body Dysmorphic Scale consisting of (34) items, which were applied to the study sample. The descriptive correlational analytical approach was used. The results indicated that the level of body dysmorphic disorder among women visiting plastic surgery centers has poor social adjustment and a sense that people look at their bodies with astonishment and surprise, and that the level of depression among women visiting plastic surgery centers is low. The results showed no differences in the level of depression according to the age variable at levels (20-30) compared to the age group (31-40) and the age group (41-50), and there were differences in favor of the age group (31-40) compared to (41-50). It also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of symptoms of body dysmorphic disorder among women visiting For plastic surgery centers, depending on the age variable, the results showed a direct relationship between body deformity and depression, as the correlation coefficient reached (0.22), which is a statistically significant value. The study employed the experimental method. The sample consisted of (82) tenth grade female students in the subject of Earth and Environment Sciences at Dahiyat Al-Rasheed Secondary School for Girls affiliated to the Directorate of Education The university district in Jordan for the first semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The sample was distributed in two groups, experimental and control, so that the experimental group was taught by the cooperative learning method (Jigsaw), while the control group was taught by the traditional method. An objective test of (20) articles was designed. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the achievement between the students of the two study groups due to the teaching strategy in favor of the experimental group that was taught through the cooperative learning strategy (Jigsaw). The results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in achievement between the students of the two study groups due to the teaching strategy, and in favor of the experimental group that was taught through the cooperative learning strategy (Jigsaw). The results also showed a notable increase in the level of achievement. The study was based on the descriptive correlational approach. The sample consisted of (538) male and female students from Yarmouk University, selected by the convenient sampling method, during the summer semester of the academic year (2023/2024). To achieve the objectives of the study, the philophobia scale and the professional ambition scale were prepared as data collection tools, and after ensuring their validity and reliability, they were applied to the study sample. Three categories were adopted to judge the level of philophobia and professional ambition in the sample, which are low level (1-2,33), medium level (2,34- 3, 66) and high level (3,67-5). The results showed that the level of philophobia among the study sample was medium level, that their level of professional ambition was medium level and that there was a positive, statistically significant relationship between philophobia and professional ambition among the students at Yarmouk University. The study population consisted of all male and female teachers in the schools of the northeastern desert directorate of education. They were (3048) male and female teachers. The study sample was chosen by the random-sample method, and it consisted of (344) male and female teachers. The descriptive survey method was used to suit the nature of the study. The study concluded with a number of results, the most important of which was that the degree of practicing transformational leadership behavior was moderate. The results of the study also indicated that there were statistically significant differences attributed to the academic qualification variable in all fields, in favor of the postgraduate class and that there were no statistically significant differences attributed to the gender variable and years of experience in all fields. The study applied the analytical approach on a sample of (305) students chosen randomly from different education colleges in Jordan to determine the degree of innovative leadership practices among faculty members in education colleges in Jordan from the students' perspectives, and to know the differences between the averages of the sample members' responses on the total degree of the questionnaire as well. The results showed that the answers of the sample members on the total degree of the questionnaire about innovative leadership practice among faculty members in education colleges in Jordan from students' perspectives were medium. The results also indicated that there was no statistically significant difference between the averages of the sample members' responses on the total score of the questionnaire attributed to the variable of gender, and that there is a statistically significant difference between the averages of responses on the total score of the questionnaire attributed to the variables of educational level and age.
