This study aimed to identify the level of incentives and ambition of track and field athletes in Jordanian universities' teams from their point of view, as well as to identify the relationship between their motivations and their ambition. The researchers used the descriptive approach in the correlative relationships method. The sample of the study consisted of (71) male and female track and field athletes of Jordanian universities teams (Jordan University, Yarmouk University, Hashemite University, Al al-Bayt University) during the academic year 2020/2021. To measure the impact of incentives on the level of ambition of the study sample, the researchers used the questionnaire prepared by Al-Talafha (2017) which consisted of (35) items distributed on five main axes of incentives: (physical and health incentives, financial incentives, psychological incentives, social incentives, and management incentives). To measure the level of ambition, the researchers used the questionnaire prepared by Shata (2013) and it consisted of (37) items. The results of the study showed that the level of incentives from the point of view of track and field athletes in Jordanian universities were high. In contrast, the level of their ambitions, form their point of view was moderate, and that there was a positive correlation between incentives and ambition among track and field athletes in Jordanian universities’ teams. Considering the study results, the researchers recommend the need to pay attention to the financial incentives of athletics players for the teams of Jordanian universities as they have a positive impact on the level of ambition.
